Eyebrows Again After Alopecia: A Medical Brow Restoration Case Study

The Concern

Alopecia areata and its more advanced forms, alopecia totalis and alopecia universalis, affect millions of people in the U.S. alone, according to the National Alopecia Areata Foundation — and for many, eyebrow loss is one of the most visible and emotionally difficult effects of the disease. The Consultation

She began with a free phone consultation to talk through her history and goals, followed by an in-person consultation and design preview on the day of her first appointment to map out a brow shape suited to her face before any pigment work began.

The Procedure

Using a nano needle medical eyebrow restoration technique, pigment was deposited in fine, hair-like strokes to recreate a natural-looking eyebrow from scratch. Because alopecia totalis and universalis leave no existing brow hair to work around or blend into, the entire shape, arch, and density had to be custom-designed for her face rather than restoring or enhancing what remained.

Healing & Timeline

The first session ran approximately 90 minutes to establish the full brow design and initial pigment application, followed by a shorter touch-up session of about one hour spaced 6–8 weeks later to refine shape and color saturation.
