Eyebrow Tattoo Correction: How to Fix, Redesign, and Fall in Love with Your Brows Again
Published on May 4, 2026
If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you’re staring in the mirror at eyebrow tattoos that no longer look the way you hoped — or the way they once did. Maybe the color has shifted to an unnatural red, gray, or ashy tone. Maybe the shape feels dated, too thick, too thin, or simply wrong for your face. Maybe you got them done years ago and styles have changed.
First, know this: you are not alone — and you have more options than you think.
At Look Natural Micropigmentation in Atlanta’s Sandy Springs area, corrective brow tattooing is our specialty — and has been for over 25 years. We are one of the only clinics in Georgia offering this highly specialized service. In most cases, we can redesign, reshape, and correct the color of tattooed eyebrows without laser or chemical removal, making the process faster, more affordable, and far less traumatic to your skin.
What Are Some of the Reasons People Would Want to Fix, Update or Redo Their Brow Tattoo?
- Color shifted — The pigments changed from original color
- Shape problems — Arches too high, tails too long, asymmetry, or a shape that no longer suits their face
- Outdated style — The ultra-defined, blocky brow of 2014 looks very different from today’s soft, natural aesthetic
- Pigment blurring or merging
- Poor original artistry — Work done by inexperienced or undertrained technicians that never looked right to begin with
As celebrity makeup artist Kasey Spickard has noted, if you no longer love your brow tattoo – you’re not stuck. Brow tattoos can now be removed or corrected. In fact, corrective brow tattooing has quietly transformed the world of permanent makeup — and most people are excellent candidates for a beautiful redesign.

What Is Corrective Brow Tattooing — and How Is It Different?
Corrective brow tattooing is a specialized branch of permanent makeup that focuses on improving, updating, or completely redesigning previously tattooed brows. It’s not a simple touch-up — it requires a deep understanding of color theory, facial geometry, skin science, and artistry.
This is work that demands advanced training and experience. With over 25 plus years of practice, Fine Art education, and a background as a professional makeup artist, Evie Delaney brings an unusually comprehensive skill set to this specialized field.
The result? Brows that are custom-designed for your face, your coloring, and the look you actually want — not a generic template applied to everyone.
Do You Really Need Laser Removal? (Probably Not.)
This is the question we hear most often — and the answer surprises many people. Laser or chemical removal of an eyebrow tattoos is expensive, and will require many sessions to achieve results. Any Tattoo removal process also carries risks for potential damage to eyebrow hair follicles and possible changes in skin texture.
At Look Natural Micropigmentation, in a lot of cases we can work directly with the existing pigment in your skin — using advanced color correction techniques to neutralize unwanted tones and layer new, beautifully chosen color over what’s there. We can also reshape and redesign using strategic placement, without the need to erase what exists first.
Corrective tattooing vs. laser or chemical removal — a quick comparison:
- Corrective tattooing: No removal required in most cases, faster results, more cost-effective, no risk to brow hair follicles
- Laser or chemical removal: Multiple sessions needed (often 6–12+), higher cost per session, risk of hair loss or changes in skin texture.
Not everyone is a candidate for corrective tattooing — an honest consultation always comes first. But for those who are, this approach can truly be a game-changer.
Our Corrective Brow Process: What to Expect Step by Step
Every corrective brow journey at Look Natural Micropigmentation is fully customized and begins long before you ever arrive in our chair. Here’s how our two-part consultation and redesign process works:
Step 1: Free Initial Phone Consultation
We begin with a complimentary phone consultation where you share photos of your current brows. This gives us a chance to assess your situation honestly — discussing your goals, answering your questions about what the redesign process involves, and determining whether corrective tattooing is the right path for you. If you’re a good candidate, we’ll move forward. If not, we’ll tell you that too, and point you toward the most appropriate alternative.
Step 2: Day-of Consultation, Assessment & Design Preview
On procedure day, we begin with a thorough in-person consultation. We take precise facial measurements, assess your existing pigment color, evaluate your skin, and determine exactly what changes will create the most flattering, natural result.
Then — before anything is done — we create a preview template for you to evaluate and approve. You see exactly what the redesigned brows will look like. You give your sign-off. Only then do we begin.
Step 3: The Corrective Sessions
Most corrective brow cases require 2–3 sessions, spaced approximately 6 weeks apart. This spacing allows the skin to heal between applications and lets each layer of color settle properly. This process cannot be rushed — but the results are long-lasting, and for most clients, well worth the time.
