Question 1

What should I look for when choosing a permanent cosmetics technician?

Accepted Answer

For extraordinary results, your technician should be both an artist and a highly skilled technician. The ability to draw and shade well with tattoo equipment takes artistic talent, extensive training, and years to perfect. Skilled artists do not use stencils—all work should be customized to your individual face shape and bone structure.

Before scheduling, evaluate the technician's years of experience, type of training, number of procedures completed, portfolio, and client testimonials. Physician affiliations are a strong indicator of proficiency, as doctors rarely associate with sub-par technicians. Be cautious of very low prices, which can signal inexperience or cut corners with pigments and supplies. If ethnic skin is a consideration, confirm the artist has specific experience with melanin-rich skin.

Question 2

How should I care for my lips after a lip blushing treatment?

Accepted Answer

After your lip blushing treatment, the most important aftercare step is to keep your lips moisturized with Aquaphor Lip Therapy for two weeks. This supports proper healing and helps with color retention.

We provide simple aftercare instructions following your appointment. There's no social downtime, so you can leave with a refreshed, polished look that only improves as it heals. A touch-up session about six weeks later ensures your color is even, vibrant, and long-lasting.

Question 3

Is permanent makeup safe for ethnic or melanin-rich skin?

Accepted Answer

People of color are often good candidates for permanent makeup when working with a properly trained specialist. Ethnic skin may respond differently to pigment due to its higher melanin content, which means specialized training is essential for safe, effective, and lasting results.

At Look Natural Micropigmentation Clinic, we have over 25 years of experience with melanin-rich skin and serve African American, Latin, Asian, Middle Eastern, and multicultural clients. We combine artistic skill with a deep understanding of how different ethnicities respond to pigment, healing, and color correction, working closely with medical estheticians for customized care.

Question 4

How long do Nano Brows and lip blushing results last?

Accepted Answer

Nano Brows offer long-lasting, hassle-free results that can last for years with proper care, saving you time and effort on daily eyebrow routines.

Lip blushing is a semi-permanent treatment that typically lasts 2 to 3 years, gradually fading over time. A touch-up session about six weeks after your initial appointment ensures even, vibrant color, and a quick Booster session can refresh the look whenever you're ready.

Question 5

What are Nano Brows and how do they differ from microblading?

Accepted Answer

Nano Brows are the next generation in eyebrow enhancement, using a digital machine and a finer nano-needle to restore eyebrows with delicate strokes that mimic natural brow hair—an effect often called hyper-realism.

Unlike microblading, which cuts the skin, nano needles deposit pigment to create hair strokes. This makes Nano Brows safer for darker and sensitive skin types, with longer-lasting results, less discomfort, faster healing without scabbing or peeling, and greater flexibility for customization.
